Watchful.ai discovered the bot was being tested publicly, and TikTok confirmed the tests are now underway.
According to Watchful.ai, the AI chatbot was found in tests on iOS devices in the U.S. TikTok says the bot is not yet available in the U.S., but is being tested in other global markets, including a limited test in the Philippines.
According to the screenshots, the AI chatbot will appear as a ghost-shaped icon while you scroll through videos. If a user needs help finding a specific video or type of content, they can simply ask the AI to find it for them. A TikTok spokesperson stated Tako:
