Help Palestine: How Pakistanis can donate to Humanitarian Aid

On Wednesday, finally Israel announced that it will allow Egypt to transfer limited humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. According to White House officials, help will begin to arrive in Gaza on Friday, with only 20 trucks of food, water, and other supplies permitted in through the Rafah border crossing thus far.

As of Thursday, the siege of Palestine had entered its 13th day, and supplies in Gaza were running low.

Here are seven organizations that provide opportunities for Pakistanis to help people in Gaza.

Al Khidmat Foundation:

The Al Khidmat Foundation has collaborated with Turkish organizations such as the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, the Hayrat Foundation, and the Cansuyu Association to send financial contributions gathered in Pakistan to Gaza. And donations can be made online, via their website, or in person at their office, with all transactions taking place in rupees.

Palestine Children’s Relief Funds:

The Palestine Children’s Relief Funds has teams on the ground in Gaza providing critical and life-saving medical relief and humanitarian assistance. They are accepting financial support to aid over a million Gazan youngsters who require immediate medical attention. However, donations made online using credit cards in USD.

Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS):

In Gaza, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) operates facilities that provide life-saving treatment to injured Palestinians. They accept online payments in US dollars via their website.  To donate, you must have a Mastercard or Visa card.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières:

Doctors Without Borders is an unbiased and autonomous medical humanitarian organization. They served in Gaza for over 20 years, running a reconstructive surgical program in northern Gaza. Currently, 300 members of the organization are on the ground in Gaza.

They are requesting financial assistance in order to offer medical and humanitarian supplies to the people of Gaza. However they accept payments in dollars, made through Mastercard or Visa cards.

Action For Humanity Canada:

Action For Humanity Canada launched a donation campaign through Launchgood. They are requesting financial support to provide Palestinians with urgent medical supplies, disposables, and 50,000 dignity kits for people.

Islamic Relief Worldwide:

Islamic Relief, based in the United Kingdom, is a faith-based humanitarian and development organization. Since 1997, the organization has been delivering humanitarian aid in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. With your contribution, the agency will collaborate with the local community to provide critical assistance. They require financial aid, although it can be provided through bank cards.

Human Appeal:

Human Appeal is a non-profit organization that works all over the World. They have an office in Palestine as well as a team on the ground. The organization has started a Gaza Emergency Appeal in order to raise funds to supply fuel to ambulances and hospitals, family food boxes, and hygiene kits in Gaza.

Gaza, populated to 2.3 million Palestinians, is in a state of emergency.
