On Sunday at approximately 4 am, a submarine owned and operated by OceanGate Expeditions embarked on a mission to take a crew of five individuals 12,500 ft underwater. Unfortunately, the team experienced communication issues with the mothership MV Polar Prince during the two-hour descent, losing contact after only an hour and 45 minutes.
